Interviewing for a job can be a daunting experience, no matter what stage of your career you’re at. Preparing for an interview is essential for success, and that includes familiarizing yourself with the most commonly asked interview questions. Here are some of the most common questions you should be prepared to answer in an interview.

1. Tell me about yourself This is a great opportunity for you to share a brief overview of your professional experience, key accomplishments, and the skills that make you the best fit for the job. Keep things concise and focused on the job you’re applying for.

2. What qualifications do you have that make you a good fit for this position? This question allows you to highlight the skills, qualifications and experiences that make you the best candidate for the job. Focus on the requirements listed in the job description and provide examples of how your background and experience aligns with those requirements.

3. What do you know about our company? To be 100% honest with y’all, I slack in this department also. Often times I find myself googling the company five minutes before my interview, but we will all do better together! Your research and preparation for the interview should include learning as much as you can about the company. Show off your knowledge by discussing the company’s mission, values and current projects. If you can, share how you could contribute to the company.
